Présentation

Camin team has grown out of the former Demar team and remains the common project team uniting INRIA Sophia Antipolis-Méditerranée and the University of Montpellier. Team headquarters is the Laboratoire d’Informatique de Robotique et de Microélectronique de Montpellier  (LIRMM).

Our research is dedicated to the design and development of realistic neuroprosthetic solutions for sensorimotor deficiencies in collaboration with clinical partners. Our efforts are focused on clinical impact: improving the functional evaluation and/or quality of life of patients.
Movement is at the center of our investigative activity, and the exploration and understanding of the origins and control of movement is one of our two main research priorities. The second research priority is movement assistance and/or restoration. Based on the results from our first research focus, neuroprosthetic approaches are deployed. Camin intends to make both theoretical and applied contributions.
